Nicolette Solomon
Nicolette Solomon is Executive Director of the Suzuki Music Institute of Dallas and was founder of the Suzuki Method in South Africa, directing the Solomon Suzuki School in Johannesburg, SA for 20 years.
She began her studies with Neil McKay followed by Pierre de Groote at the College of Music in Cape Town, completing her University studies with Alan Solomon. She played in the International Festival Orchestra touring throughout Europe,and performed in Israel, Taiwan and Hong Kong with Harmonia Juventia.
Nicolette Solomon obtained a B. Mus (Honors) and Higher Education Dip. (Post Graduate) at Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg. Her Suzuki training continued with Christophe Bossuat in Lyon, Franc and with Dr. Suzuki in Matsumoto, Japan in 1992.
In 1994, Ms. Solomon played in the Eduard Melckus Baroque Ensemble in France. She has taught at Suzuki workshops in South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand, all over the USA and Costa Rica.
