Nena LaMarre
Nena LaMarre was invited to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, when she received her grade ten diploma at the age of thirteen. She received the Piano Performer and Piano Teacher’s ARCT diplomas there, under the teaching of Boris Berlin. She went on to graduate from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, studying with William Aide. Her decision to take teacher training for Suzuki Method piano came after observing her daughter study Suzuki violin. Nena was the first Suzuki method piano teacher in the city of Barrie and has an active studio there where she enjoys teaching students from ages three to eighty-three. She is Past-Chair of the Suzuki Association of Ontario Board. Nena completed her certification to become a Teacher Trainer in 2015. Learn more at: www.thesuzukipianostudio.ca.
