Marla Majett
Marla Majett is the Executive Director of the Kulea Music Institute and a cello instructor in the Atlanta, Georgia. She was also one of the founding members of the Suzuki Association of Georgia and currently serves as its president. She has also served as the Co-Chair for the Suzuki Association of the Americas’ Advisory Committee on Race. She maintains a large cello studio in Atlanta, and her students can be found performing in a wide variety of outreach initiatives and venues around Georgia.
Ms. Majett holds a dual bachelor’s degree in music and history from Furman University. She also enjoys gardening, yoga and learning to cook with her new husband.
