Maria Luisa Del Rio
Maria Luisa Labarthe del Rio from Lima Peru is a specialist in early childhood education having taken training first as a Suzuki piano Teacher and then with Susan Grilli, Dorothy Jones and Paivi Kukkamani. For the past 40 years, she has given music and movement classes based on the ideas of Dalcroze. Since 2000 Maria Luisa has offered courses for teachers in Early Childhood Music during the International Suzuki Festivals in Lima, Colombia, Mexico, and Costa Rica. She has also participated in Unicef and Ministry of Education projects, working with teachers throughout Peru. She courrently teachers classes to mothers and babies in Early Education Centers in Lima and also in her private studio “Hola Bebe” together with Roxana del Barco
