Lana Ramsay
Lana Ramsay was born in Watson, Saskatchewan, Canada and received her early piano training in Saskatchewan. Further study brought her to Lawrence, KS, where she studied with Jack Winerock and participated in Master lessons with American pianist, Leon Fleischer. She graduated from the U of Kansas with a B.Mus. in Piano Performance. Returning to Sask., she continued Suzuki teacher training and established her piano studio. She has been inspired in her teacher training by Dr. Kataoka, Sue Kwak, Merlin Thompson, Elaine Worley, Peggy Swingle, Cleo Brimhall, and Gail Lange. Presently Mrs. Ramsay resides in Grand Coulee, SK with her husband, Doug, and teaches there, as well as at the Conservatory of Performing Arts. She has taught for nearly 30 years, teaches master classes at Suzuki piano workshops, accompanies, and adjudicates for the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association.
