Eric Daniel Sanchez Mejia
Eric Sanchez is an SAA active member and a Suzuki Teacher since 2000. He holds a bachelor degree as a Violinist with Emphasis on Chamber Music. He participated in the FOSJA in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was Concertmaster of the Corporación Orquesta Filarmónica de los Andes 2005 and 2006. He has taken Suzuki Units 1A through 10 and Practicum in the Suzuki Festivals in Bogotá, Colombia, in Lima, Peru and in the American Suzuki Institute in Stevens Point Wisconsin, with teacher trainers Marylin O’boyle, Doris Preucil, Sue Bare, Alice Joy Lewis and Tery Einfeld. He earned The Shinichi Suzuki Scholarship awarded by The American Suzuki Foundation of Stevens Point in 2003 and 2006. In July 2007 he was invited as a teacher to the Santa Fe Suzuki Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2008 and he participated in the SAA 13th Conference and was part of the Latin-American Group and in 2010, 2012 and 2014 he participated in the SAA 14th, 15th and 16th Conference. As a Suzuki Teacher, he has taught in several institutions with Suzuki Programs. Nowadays, He is co-director and violin teacher of the music school Musicalis Ars Suzuki and director and conductor of the Camerata Iuventutis Ars Suzuki.
