Elida Silva
Elida Olmedo is a flutist graduated at Unesp—Universidade Júlio de Mesquita Filho in São Paulo, Brazil. She is a Suzuki flute teacher. She teaches at her Suzuki Flute Studio, in addition to teaching at the Guri Santa Marcelina Program, where she has been teaching since 2011. SHe is finishing her post-graduate studies in Psychopedagogy. She was part of the São Bernardo do Campo Symphonic Band from 2005 to 2010. She taught at the Free Music Center (CLM) in São Bernardo do Campo and at the Ribeirão Pires Municipal School of Music. She was a guiding artist in the Vocational Program in 2018. She studied Suzuki philosophy with Professor Shinobu Saito (Brazil) and three flute books with Professor Kelly Willianson (Canada) in Peru in 2016 and 2017. She participated in Festivals in Brazil such as the Festival de Campos do Jordão, taking classes with teachers Juliano Arruda and Edson Beltrami. She studied with Jean Noel Saghaard at the São Paulo Municipal School of Music, and Sarah Hornby at Unesp. Currently, in addition to teaching transverse flute in the Guri Santa Marcelina Program, she has her Suzuki Music Studio where he teaches transverse flute for children and adults in addition to musicalization for babies.
