Cherie Larson

Cherie Larson (an Edmontonian) has been teaching with the Suzuki method 40yrs. She was fortunate enough to watch Dr. Suzuki teach in Japan, Edmonton and in the States. Cherie began piano at age four and violin at age seven and in her teens, added both the viola and the organ. She has served as the Music Director of the Edmonton Society for Talent Education, has taught at the Suzuki Charter School, plays organ/piano at a church, and plays piano for 5 community choirs. She also accompanies recitals and concerts, plays all four instruments and has a studio of 15+ students with the Society for Talent Education (viola+violin). She has worked as a clinician in Brandon, Camrose, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, New Denver, Prince George and Winnipeg and has written articles featured in the SAA Journal and in “Winning Ways”.
