Alvaro Soltero

Alvaro J. Soltero is a sophomore at Tufts University majoring in cognitive psychology. He studies violin with Prof. Joanna Kurkowicz and plays in one of the university’s string quartets. He first picked up the violin at age 5 and says that the person who has most influenced his musical life is his mom, Josefina. Alvaro studied violin in Puerto Rico with Martin Goldman and has played in the Conservatory of Puerto Rico’s Advanced Orchestra.
