Göran Berg music educator, violinist, violist, orchestra conductor, 40 years experience teaching students of all ages. He is an internationally known pedagogue, publisher, author. Has taught at institutes and workshops throughout the US and Europe. He received his B.M. (Violin Pedagogy) at the Royal Music Academy of Stockholm, his M.M. (Suzuki overview of books 6—10) at the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, a graduate student of Suzuki pioneer, Professor John Kendall.
After seventeen years in Swedish music schools, Mr. Berg currently resides since 25 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, owning and operating the Sycamore Strings Academy, Livermore. 2006, he started a Suzuki Program at Crowden Music Center in Berkeley.
Throughout his career, Mr. Berg has collected and arranged Scandinavian folk music for strings. His Scandinavian music arrangements, Fiddle Heart, volumes 1, 2, 3 are self-published at Fiddle Heart Publications, www.fiddleheartmusic.com
Mr. Berg has two books published by Alfred Publications.
