Susan Vaughan received her Suzuki training includes piano levels I-VII. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota and her MBA from the Carlson Executive Management Program, University of Minnesota. Dr. Vaughan received M.A. degrees in music education, art education, and piano performance. For eighteen years, she served as state fine arts manager for the Minnesota public schools, special services director for the Shakopee Minnesota Public School District; and secondary fine arts manager for Houston ISD. She founded the Galveston Island Arts Academy, which offered a dozen years of concerts in partnership with the Moody Mansion with partnering teachers of piano, guitar, violin, and oboe with the Moody Mansion.
