Raising $ to help reunite families
Busking for a cause…we raised $372.92 for the ACLU to help in the effort to reunite families separated at the border.

Laura “Laurita” Jáuregui, a Mexican-American, began her Suzuki violin studies at age five then later at sixteen began teaching with the support of her mother, a Suzuki piano teacher. She received her B.M. from Portland State University. Her professional career began in Mexico with the Jalisco State Philharmonic and the Sinfónica de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. She is formerly a member of the Vancouver Symphony. As an SAA bi-lingual instructor, she is an advocate of the Suzuki movement in Latin America. She has taken students from her native Oregon to several Suzuki Institutes in Mexico and Puerto Rico where she has been a guest clinician. She was the Assistant Director of the Oregon Suzuki Institute for 7 years and the Co-Director of the Oregon Suzuki Association for 9 years. Ms. Jáuregui directs Suzuki Stumptown and is a member of the Oregon Suzuki Association.
