Creston Valley Youth Orchestra

From the Suzuki studio of Flory Godinez in Creston, BC Canada the youth orchestra accompanied the 82 voice Blossom Valley Singers in their three performances of “A Celtic Christmas” Dec. 2019.

Flory Godinez began teaching in the Suzuki Talent Education method in 1968. She was one of the first non-Japanese to study with Dr. Suzuki for two years and graduate from his music school in Japan with a Suzuki Violin Teacher’s Certificate. Ms. Godinez completed her doctoral studies in Violin Performance and Music Theory at the University of Arizona. A former Director of the Suzuki String and Teacher Training Program at San Diego State University, Ms. Godinez has taught in a variety of settings in the United States, Canada and Europe including: public school; private school; community music school; and private studio. An SAA Violin Teacher Trainer she enjoys working with her apprentice teachers as well as young students.
