Luciana Castillo
Luciana is an active Recorder Suzuki teacher involved in organization and teaching. She started her Suzuki training in 2004 in Lima, Peru in the International Suzuki Festivals. In 2006, she participated as a member of the main staff in that festival and has helped to coordinate it since then. Luciana has been part of the organizing committee of the “Encuentros de Alumnos de América Latina” (Latin America Suzuki Orchestra). She has been a guest teacher in different regions of Peru and Brazil. As a recorder player she has been soloist with different orchestras and she has also played in different chamber groups such as “Ensemble Artifex” and “Audi Coelum” groups dedicated to the performance of repertoire from the Latin American baroque and colonial music. She holds a degree in Social Science from the PUCP (Peru) and graduated (Recorder) from the “Escola de Municipal de Música” in São Paulo, Brazil.
