Two-year graduate program covering Violin Units 1-10 for 8 hours of graduate credit.
Participation requires undergraduate music degree and acceptance into the university graduate music program by audition.
Course content includes Suzuki philosophy, parent education, teaching techniques and repertoire, including supplementary literature. Weekly schedule includes pedagogy class, private lesson, master class, teachers meeting, teaching of individual and group class lessons, observation. Students are immersed in pedagogical study, teaching, and performing for at least 14 hours per week. Undergraduates may take the course with instructor’s permission and receive credit.
