Two-year graduate program covering Violin & Cello Units 1-10 for a total of 12 credit hours in Suzuki Pedagogy.
In-depth study and performance of the Suzuki Violin & Cello School repertoire as well as supplemental scales, arpeggios, etudes and works from the standard repertoire. Directed observation of children’s private and group lessons within CIM’s Sato Center for Suzuki Studies. Practicum teaching opportunities in CIM’s Sato Center program include: 1st year assist with group lessons, 2nd year apprentice teaching with group and private lessons under the supervision of instructor.
Candidates must be admitted to the CIM Master of Music degree program in Performance. Long term training is also offered as a non-degree program for CIM undergraduate juniors and seniors. Acceptance into this program is by audition only.
