Introduction to the Alexander Technique
Instructor: Tanya Bénard
Event Description
Come discover why for over 100 years, people have relied on the Alexander Technique to help address excess tension, increase freedom of movement, and enhance the abilities of performing artists. The introductory workshop will help participants understand the principles of the Technique, and see how it relates both to everyday life and to making music. Like music making, the Alexander Technique is a skill. Those wishing to get a taste of the hands-on work are encouraged to sign up for a private lesson. For more information about the Alexander Technique, please visit www.alexandertech.ca. Open to teachers, advanced students, and interested parents.
