19th SAA Conference NewsDear early bird registrants, conference team, and student participants, We are excited to share some good news. We are moving the May Conference to September 3-7, 2020, at the Hilton Minneapolis and Minneapolis Convention Center! We hope you will still be able to join us. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: HILTON HOTEL:If you made a hotel guest room reservation, do not try to cancel. The Hotel will cancel all May reservations that were made for our conference and verify the cancellation within the next couple of weeks. Then you will need to rebook. The hotel will provide us with a new reservations link for our website soon. We will let you know when you can make your reservation for the September dates. SAA CONFERENCE EARLY BIRD REGISTRANTS:Thank you to the many teachers who registered early. We will hold your registration while you make your plans. If you already know you cannot attend, please click the button below and add your name to request a refund.
We will reopen registration soon for those who did not have an opportunity to register previously. Pending some final details, Conference registration will be open again from mid-April until August 10. The Early Bird registration will be in place throughout that period of time. Walk-in registration, as usual, will be a bit higher. STUDENT PARTICIPANTS & FAMILIESWe are anticipating that most student events will take place as planned. We will send more information for students and a request for you to reconfirm your participation in the next few weeks. Flute ensemble music will be made available for download soon. Cello Choir music will be available shortly. All other groups should have their selections. SESSION & EVENT PRESENTERSThe session management area will be reopened for any adjustments or cancellations next week. Watch for a reminder. While we are well aware that by September, travel and coming together for such group events may not yet be advisable, we are nevertheless excited that we can try to save this huge conference event. It’s something to look forward to over the coming months amid many restrictions and much discouraging news! We hope to celebrate together IN PERSON in September! |
